General Practice at Claremont Medical Centre during Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Thank you for your ongoing support over this past year when things have been different due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In our practice, we had to change the way we work very quickly and that has only been possible because our patients have adapted to these changes.

We are here for you

We’d like to reassure you that we are open and still want you to tell us if you are unwell or worried about your health.

We are providing face-to-face appointments, as well as supporting people over the phone or online. We offer face-to face appointments when they are medically needed and these can be with a range of health professionals currently working within the surgery. Using a mix of face-to-face and phone appointments allows us to keep the number of patients and staff on site to a safe minimum.

How to contact us

  • By phone (020 8399 2280) – please call before coming to the surgery. Talking to you first helps us understand what kind of support you need.
  • Online consultation – you can use DoctorLink at www.app.doctorlink.com/claremontmedicalcentre/register. Requesting our help via an online consultation is the same as booking an appointment at the surgery and there’s no need to phone as well.
  • Download the NHS App – it is a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services, including ordering prescriptions and validating your vaccines.

You can also request a repeat prescription in writing, in person by using the repeat prescription box at the practice or by speaking to your local pharmacist.

Please do not ask us to give you a letter in order to have your second Covid vaccination earlier than the 8 weeks recommendation, as we are unable to do this. The only exception would be if you are about to commence immunosuppressive treatment.

Our team is working hard to provide the best service we can in these changing times. We want you to contact us if you are concerned about your health but if you call us, please be aware that we are dealing with many more enquiries than usual so it might take longer to get through. Thank you again for your support and patience and please continue to treat our staff with respect when they are trying to help you.
